Created by passionate tennis players

The AVTA Tour was established by four dedicated tennis enthusiasts who share a deep passion for the game.

In 2022, Tony Phan and Tien Nghiem introduced a unique doubles tennis tournament format to Melbourne’s community. Unlike the traditional combined-age method, which often fell short in fostering a fair and competitive environment for amateur players, their approach set a combined skill limit for teams. This innovative format, proven successful in Vietnam, brought a fresh perspective to doubles competition.

To further develop this vision, they joined forces with Luan Vuong, former president of “Ong Bau Sai Gon,” a similar tennis system in Vietnam, and Hoang Anh, an IT professional. Together, the four officially founded the AVTA Tour, blending their expertise in tennis and technology to create a thriving platform.

In late 2023, the AVTA Tour expanded its leadership with the addition of Tony Quach, President of Burden Park Tennis Club, to its board of directors. This was followed in late 2024 by Luan Le, a committee member of both St Albans and View Bank Tennis Clubs, further strengthening the organization’s leadership team.
